ABOUT US

Thorne-AboutUs

Convenient access to affordable, high-quality health services is important to every resident of the North Shore. We want and expect the best in our hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Northeast Health Foundation is working to achieve this by building philanthropy for our hospitals, outpatient centers, behavioral health and long-term care facilities. Please join us in supporting this important mission.”

Frederick G. P. Thorne, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Northeast Health Foundation

Investing for Quality and Excellence in Healthcare

Northeast Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to maximize philanthropic support for Northeast Health System and its affiliates, Addison Gilbert Hospital, Beverly Hospital, CAB Health & Recovery Services, and Health & Educational Services, Inc. You and your family can make the difference in assuring that these precious healthcare resources are preserved for generations to come.

Philanthropy is the lifeblood of every successful hospital and healthcare system in the nation. Normal operating revenues merely sustain the status quo, but cannot fund new or expanded services or major renovations. Our hospitals and health services exist today because thoughtful, farsighted North Shore residents took the time to become involved with our organizations.

Our need for this intellectual and financial capital is as great today as it was over 100 years ago when our hospitals were founded. In the years ahead, those health organizations that attract private contributions will have a powerful advantage - the ability to create and sustain excellence - while those without such support will risk decline.

Trustees of Northeast Health System and Northeast Health Foundation are scrupulous in their stewardship of the community's healthcare assets. They work diligently to serve the public interest and to respond to community needs. In turn, they look to resourceful members of the community to be generous and steadfast in their philanthropy.

Real progress has always come, and must continue to come, through the charitable giving of the community.
